Blog 8: A subject you enjoyed studying this semester

 Hello everyone! 

Today I will talk about my favorite subject this semester, the truth is that this is my leveling semester so I have very few courses, only three, my favorite of those is Graphic techniques  V, is a course that we had to do it last year but because of pandemic they froze it with the hope of having face to face classes.

In Graphics techniques V we mainly see video mapping, it is a technique that consists of a large projection of images or videos on large structures such as buildings, we have seen different types of mapping and how they are made, in the last unit we have been taught programs to make simple animations and project on objects. 

I like it because I am interested in the use of technology in art, also because it is a technique that can be used in public spaces and reach a wider audience.

Today we will talk about a website that has been a lifesaver in the carrer, this site is called pirate artist, it is a kind of blog with the largest amount of cracked digital programs of last generation for artists, the best thing is that it is completely free. 

The easiest thing is to use the search engine on the page to find the program you need, make sure it is a program for windows or mac and follow the download instructions, there are three download servers that are mega, mediafire and dirve, I recommend using the drive because it will not charge you even if the program weighs many GB.

Every time I need some kind of program is the first page to which I go, it is a great help because our career requires us many programs that are only found in the computer room and often need to continue working at home, especially in the pandemic.

Blog 6: How Can Your Major/Career Make the World a Better Place

hello everyone! today we will talk about a complex issue in the career: how does theatrical design affect the world?

Theatrical design is one of those silent careers that almost nobody knows about but that is found everywhere, in different shows, it may seem that it is only something aesthetic but in the end these aesthetic decisions end up creating realities and visual conceptions in the viewer, especially if these are repeated, as it was in his time the ¨black face¨ or that evil characters are aesthetically ugly and the other way around.

Many things that are presented to the viewer is a political and social positioning. The truth is that when I entered this career I didn't think about changing the world but I love how some shows are able to transport you to another world and how they make us take a position in these worlds, that's what I want in my future works. I believe that our work can make people feel that they can improve the world.
